Required to attend the eye clinic for injections to both eyes to prevent further wet macular degeneration my 83 year old, widowed step-mum is expected to get herself to hospital for 8.30 am appointment. She lives 30 miles away has further health problems which mean she is very short of breath in walking 30 yards She has been provided with transport both ways until now but told after telephone "assessment" that she doesn`t "qualify" for transport to the clinic. This is effectively denying her the service and no doubt many others in similar position. My review of this withdrawal of service- Totally unacceptable.Give an account of the experience you are commenting on, and give your opinion about it in your own words.
