Consultant said he could sort my daughters tongue-tie and would only take 5 minutes to do. We were sent home to await a call to inform us if the consultant could have the use of the theatre room in Berwick Infirmary. About one and a half hours later i received a call from the hospital to say that operations like this are not doing in this hospital on under 14's. This now means we will have to travel from Berwick to Newcastle RVI for another consultation and then on a later date for the operation to be done, this will mean we will travel roughly 300miles to have the operation done by the same consultant who was more than willing to do it there and then in the space of 5 minutes. We had our hopes up that this would have been sorted there and then only to be let down by some silly ruling!!

Will the nhs be giving me petrol money for these needless trips????
