"Clinic appointment letters"

About: NHS Lanarkshire

(as the patient),

I had to attend the breast clinic for an investigation of a lump in January 2011. I received a letter with my appointment date AFTER the appointment had taken place.

This lead to a missed an appointment and a delay in my investigation as I had to telephone to re-arrange an appointment.

Since this happened to me I have heard of several other people missing appointments because the letters are received after the appointment slot has taken place.
