"My diagnosis at Diana Princess of Wales Hospital"

About: Diana, Princess Of Wales Hospital / General medicine

(as the patient),

I had already had a week in hospital and they couldn't find out what all the pain was about, and was discharged with a bag full of pain killers. Had one night at home in agony and went back again. This time I was lucky to be put under the care of Mr Pearson. He soon had me scanned and down for emergency operation. He took two parts of my intestines away, and I was seriously ill for a day or two. On my 82nd birthday I was told the tests had come back positive for cancer of the bowel. I couldn't have asked for better treatment. It was second to none.

Many thanks for your kind comments which we will pass on to Mr Pearson and the team. Best wishes on your continuing recovery.
