"Well, what can I say....."

About: The Churchill Clinic

I have a genetic condition and an auto immune condition, diagnosed in 1976, they are lifelong will never change and after seeing many specialists I have been told to treat symptoms as they occur and if this is done I should lead a fairly normal life. My previous doctor had a list of medications used to treat my condition ,which when it flared up I would request and he would prescribe and everything was fine, I went for a review in the 1990’s they said I was managing my condition well and so I happily carried on with my life until I moved and went to another Dr. They would not accept copies of previous letters from specialists regarding my condition, would not prescribe medication I need to control it and have taken for the last 30+ years, as a result I am suffering, struggling to work and have been referred by them to see specialists which I don’t really need to see as I have a diagnosis and know how to manage my condition. The specialists have confirmed what medication I need (the same as I have taken for over 30 years) written to my doctor, when I requested some cream I was told no as it’s not on my repeat prescription list, this is despite a letter from the specialist saying I should have it. As a result I have suffered scarring to my face which was avoidable, I complained, got nowhere, was promised a call today from the Dr he hasn’t called, went there this evening was told I couldn’t have the cream I need and told they never had the letter from the specialist. I gave them a copy, so far they have not received 3 other letters or blood test results sent to them. I don’t need medication all the time so don’t get repeat prescriptions and as a result when I do need it I am told it’s not on my repeats and am sent to a specialist who then diagnosis me with what I have suffered from for years writes to the Dr telling them what to prescribe,

I request it when I am ill and it is refused! 2 doctors I have seen there have been really good and did prescibe medication that helped and said they had copied my letters and I shouldn’t have problems in the future but unfortunately that hasn’t been the case.
