"I can now walk on my artificial limb"

About: WestMARC (West of Scotland Mobility and Rehabilitation Centre)

(as the patient),

Following an amputation I had district nurses coming in to dress the wound which did not seem to heal. However, I was then referred to WestMARC where the nurse, Gillian, changed the dressing routine and I started to see signs of healing, this was fantastic.   It has been a long, slow process but Gillian has been amazing, I can now walk on my artificial limb which is  so different from a year ago when I was getting anxious abut the wound. Gillian has been 200% perfect.

Dear gruswf36,

Thank you so much for posting your feedback on Care Opinion.

I am delighted to read that you are seeing an improvement in your limb so much so that you are getting the opportunity to wear and walk on your prosthetic limb.

I will ensure that I send your feedback to Gillian who will delighted to read your story.

Kind regards

Heather Richardson
