What I liked

The personal service and respect shown to me by all members of staff encountered. No waiting about, went straight in.

What could be improved

For my husband to be able to wait with me in the waiting room but hey it was only a little waiting room and it worried him more than me.

There was a glitch with the equipment at the start and from a hygiene point of view I was amazed when one of the staff stuck the end of the scope which was just about to possibly take a biopsy of my throat onto the side of his face to test it.

Anything else?

Thank you so much to the Consultant and all the staff, including reception, for taking such good care of me. It is a proceedure which I was glad to have under the circumstances and was nowhere near as unpleasant as some patients have posted. The spray tastes quite pleasant and really numbs your throat well. The most uncomfortable part was actually swallowing the end of the thing but once it was in it was ok. I did heave a few times but you quickly get used to it and the most important tip is to relax and breathe. The reassurance that I was given throuout the proceedure was gratefully received. I would not be frightened to have it again if necessary.
