"Prompt referral by my GP and Sentinel"

About: Sentinel Healthcare Southwest Community Interest Company / Referral & Appointment Booking Team

(as the patient),

I am a 71 year old male, referred to a neurologist with a slight tremor in my left hand. It is not urgent and I am on a 'pooled' waiting list to be seen at my local hospital in about three to four months time.

My GP was very good about referring me and sent the letter of the Sentinel promptly.

Likewise, Sentinel were very prompt in contacting me and offered me choices. However I chose my local hospital as I went there last time and know a lot of the staff.

I have not been offered an appointment yet and expect to wait sometime to be seen.

We would like to thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback for the initial stages of your referral, we are glad to hear that you thought your GP & our Bookings team at Sentinel dealt with your referral pormptly.

We would like to apologise for the wait you are going to have to be seen by our local Neurologist, but please note, should there be any significant changes to your condition during your waiting period, then we would advise you to return to your GP to have your condition reassessed.

We hope that the wait will be significantly less then you are anticipating.
