"Phlebotomists"

About: University College Hospital

Overall I had a great appointment with the consultant I had to see.

I was at UCH for an appointment at the Rheumatology dept. All went well, it was for a rare illness I had as a child. Routine check up.

I am fit and healthy, I work out 4 times a week and am lean, with definition

I went to have my bloods taken and the phlebotomist, kindly suggested, I should work out less, as it would make me look less feminine. My chest was quite small, and that I already started to look less ladylike. I was also told to be careful to not train too much as it might make me grow a big jaw...

On reflection I should have said something there and then, but I Had a needle in my arm and just didn't really think. However, this lady did not know why I was in hospital and to imply that my healthy relationship with sport was making me less ladylike is not really something you want to be hearing when in hospital.
