"ENT short stay"

About: Castle Hill Hospital

From start to finish this hospital is brilliant, people complain about our NHS but I disagree, the whole experience, despite having surgery was brilliant. The staff were friendly, thoughtful, professional and kind. Always taking time for me if I needed it and explaining things clearly. I was only meant to be in for the day but due to my reaction to the anaesthetic (I struggle to come round after and just want to sleep) they had no issue with me stopping in for the night. Which was great because I physically struggled to get off the bed.

I had a polyp in my nose removed and my sinuses drained and cleaned. The consultant was amazing, funny and totally put me at ease, explaining why it had occurred and how it would be removed. The anaesthetist listened to my previous experiences and gave me anti sickness drugs which worked a treat.

The nursing staff were attentive and friendly and very professional, nothing was too much. They kept me smiling and looked after me brilliantly.

The cleaning staff were fantastic, making sure my room was spotless and chatting away, as it can be lonely even when in for one night.

The staff who brought the tea and food were amazing, I've never been so happy to have a cup of tea. So lovely and nothing was too much trouble.

If you are about to go in to hospital the this would always be my first choice. I travelled from Grimsby to Hull for this hospital because I remembered how good they had been when my mum was here after her heart attack and I'm glad I did.

From the whole appointment team, the admissions team and everyone this hospital is just brilliant, thabjbyiu for taking such good care if me.
