My Daughter was brought by ambulance from West Cumberland through to CIC. From the minute we arrived the staff went above and beyond. She was seen by the consultant and he operated on her in the early hours of the morning to remove a nasty burst appendix.
As scary as this was for us as parents we were made to feel totally calm and kept up to date with everything that was happening.
He popped in every day to see her as she was so unwell with infection and the after care she received from the Staff on Children's Ward was just outstanding! The whole team are a credit to the NHS they really are and they helped and supported us as family through a very scary time. We will never forget the care and compassion shown to us x
