Just had an appointment at the Royal London Hospital Fracture Clinic for a spinal injury from an accident in 1978. It has left me with a scoliosis and probably contributed to arthritis.
I received excellent service: X rays of my spine from front and side were taken straight away, they downloaded my MRI scan from last August, and I spent a very useful 20 minutes with the consultant with good advice and discussion of options, all in just over an hour.
But there was a sign in the cubicle where I changed for the X Ray saying:
CLEAN HANDS SAVES LIVES
I’m afraid whoever did this sign, presumably all over the hospital, doesn’t speak very good English. It should read
CLEAN HANDS SAVE LIVES
Anyhow, Greengrocer level English literacy aside, three cheers for the London and our wonderful NHS!
"Excellent patient care"
