(as the patient),

I recently attended Day Surgery in Hairmyres to have a Colonoscopy. 

My wife and I  were welcomed into the department by a lovely nurse called Laura. She also looked after me when my colonoscopy was over. 
I just wanted to say she was exceptional. She was so kind and really made us feel at ease.
She talked us through what would happen while I was in the department and then was informative when giving me information when I was leaving to go home. 
Nothing was too much trouble, I also noticed she was the same to the other patients. 
I have unfortunately spent alot of time in the hospital recently and I can say Laura is one of the nicest nurses I have met. My wife also agreed with this. 
A credit to your department. Thank you.

Firstly I would like to apologise for the delay in my response to your feedback I was on holiday. Thank you for the lovely feedback I am really glad you had a good experience whilst visiting the Day Surgery Unit for your colonoscopy. I am pleased you felt you were put at ease and provided with exceptional care, it really does lift the staff morale when positive feedback is given and shared with the team. I am sorry to hear you have spent a lot of time in the hospital recently. I will personally pass on your gratitude and feedback to the team and Laura, I am sure she will be very pleased.
