It has taken a very long time for me to get to where I am today and I wouldn't have made it this far without the support of the various team at Royal London and my community care.
I cannot begin to thank the neurosurgery department enough, who work hard to save my life.
When I arrived there in the early hours of 27th May 2017, my situation was very critical, as my skull continued to fill up with blood from a ruptured brain aneurysm. I thank God for giving this special gift to my surgeons and the magnificent work that they do!
I am so very grateful to ALL the nursing staffs, AICU, catering staffs, cleaners, everyone, for the kindness they shew me whilst in their care.
I went to surgery two separate times, overcoming 2 cardiac arrests in the last. My team of surgeons and their staff have done tremendous work to get me back to my children and family. I am eternally grateful.
I am determined to give back SOMETHING to this hospital; in particular, neurosurgery, because I know the value of their work, and of being alive and, to have a functioning brain. It has been a very long and hard journey, I still have some way to go, but with God's grace, I am still alive.
Thank you ROYAL LONDON, NEUROSURGERY, AICU and ALL YOUR TEAM - (even the CLEANERS and CATERING STAFFS always had good encouragements to give to me, which was a real boost). Everyone played their part in my stay. THANK YOU!
