"Two and a half years on I am still so angry at the way I was treated"

About: Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre

(as the patient),

Was diagnosed having cancer over the phone by a secretary, then no contact for over a week. Told by a member of staff that I, my sister and my friend were liars. I could go on and on and on. Two and a half years down the road I am still so angry at the way I was treated. Falling down, on a wheelchair, being sick and told there is nowhere to lie down.

Thank you for providing a summary of your experience, I was very troubled to read this posting, and was not sure whether you had made a formal complaint already. If you have not done so, you should email your details to complaints@ggc.scot.nhs.uk in order, even at this stage, to look into these concerns for you.

Your experience falls short of what we would expect in terms of communication or support, and we would obviously like the opportunity to look into your concerns further if it is possible, at this stage, to do so.

Paul
