This is in particular to A&E staff that were working on either 31/1jan 19. Very disappointed with the lack of interest the doctor who reviewed me. While i appreciate A&E is busy and was told unless its life threatening, i need to use other facilities.
I had extremely painful sore throat and fever that i never experienced before. this was the first one right after my tonsillectomy done at the same hospital and i had ended up with an infection found through my blood test on 7th day of recovering (in another hospital). Here, I was told by a mere 3 sec visual check on my throat that there was no sign of infection. How do they know? My temp was down for a few hrs because i had to take lots of pills just so i can make it into A&E only to come back up again. No antibiotics were given.
I even informed her that i am around a underweight 1 year old alot and the doc was like its viral try not to infect her or be around. I cant not be around. My nieces dad passed away suddenly a month she was born so i am trying to help my sister out.
Why does the NHS wait for things to get worse before they do something about it.
Its been a week now, i still can't go to work, im spitting up bloody mucus and have ichiness in my right lung area. I have read stories on sore throat leading to sepsis. Honestly the first 2 days of this i was myself in bed wondering i was going to survive this.
To end the visit they put me forward to this lady who tries to get appointment for you via your gp and they booked one for me and insisted again that unless its life threatening...nobody knows if something so little can be life threatening or not. Ive had sore throats before. Nothing this bad. Anyway she booked an appointment only to find out i was never booked in really.
I also informed her that the ENT advised me to come here should anything happen and she was like thats wrong advised. Does anyone know what they are doing. Is this where my taxes go?
