About: Castle Hill Hospital

I visited today with a view to making progress on my constant shoulder/neck/arm pain. I had a 10 minutes appointment with a doctor who told me no different and did nothing different to all of my other appointments over the last 6-8 months.

Following the appointment with the pain management team, I was advised to visit my normal doctor to pick up a prescription for painkillers

My GP advised me to call back to the pain management team as there were no notes on the system.

Upon calling back, the lady on the phone told me that “we can only type so fast’ and that ‘the notes should be added within a few weeks’.

She couldn’t have been less help had she actively tried. For someone on the medical profession I was surprised by the lack of empathy. I would expect (and receivd) more useful info from my local grocer.

You have to use Castle Hill for certain appointments, there is no avoiding it, just don’t be surprised when you wished you hadn’t...
