"Feel totally let down"

What sums it up is I feel totally let down.

I was told help was at the other end of the phone and when I most needed it, it just didn't happen. I don't blame anyone for my wife's death, it is just all I was told didn't happen. This made me feel that I let my wife down in the last few hours of her life.

I am very sorry to hear that you felt let down during this really difficult time. I apologise for the fact that your experience was poor.

We really try hard to improve our services based on the comments we receive from our patients and their carers.

We would like the opportunity to discuss your experiences more fully and to apologise in person. I would appreciate it if you would be willing to contact the service manager for this purpose?
