"Finding employment through ill health"

About: South Yorkshire Housing Association Limited / Working Win

(as a service user),

In the past I'd broken my back and this lead to severe pain, sometimes I couldn't even get up. I started going to Physio for support with this and they asked if I would like to try to find employment and put me on to the working win service with SYHA.

Due to the back pain I felt quite down as I wanted a job and couldn't seem to get one. It were disheartening as I kept applying but got no where.

At the moment through the working win service I have an interview for my desired job as a bench joiner, I have found it difficult to find this specific work given my medical condition and child care responsibilities but my work and enterprise coach called the employer and managed to negotiate different working hours and got me an interview which I attend tomorrow.
