"Appointment letter not clear"

About: Adult community health services / Podiatry Adult community health services / Stroke services (community)

(as a service user),

I've had a lot of health problems over the years - mini strokes, a stroke, heart attack, falls and broken bones and have probably been to all of the hospitals in the locality where I have always received excellent treatment.   I have recently received a letter from the department offering physiotherapy and podiatry care but the letter does not make it clear what the appointment is for, it would be helpful to know which service  it is for as I can then dress appropriately. I need to wear looser clothes for physiotherapy.

Hi there,

Thank you for taking the time to get in touch to share with us your excellent treatment at some of our community hospitals - I am sorry to hear that you have had to use our services on a number of different occasions but really pleased to hear that you have experienced excellent care each time you have seen us.

I am sorry to read however, that a recent letter from us has caused you some confusion and that this has left you feeling uncertain and not clear about what you need to do next.

It would really help us if you were able to get in touch with us directly with your name and date of birth so that we can help you and find out what service you have been referred to. Please do drop our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) an email on PALS@sompar.nhs.uk or alternatively, via the telephone on 01278 432022 and we can hopefully get to the bottom of this for you.

Look forward to hearing from you soon.

Best wishes,

Emma
