I had my first visit to Hexham General yesterday Feb 8th for a keyhole left knee procedure and am happy to say what a great experience it proved to be.It is normal to find a hospital visit daunting but it was more like a slice of Madeira....a piece of cake!!From initially to being helpfully given directions to the ward to being kindly pushed in a wheelchair to my car afterwards everyone was so friendly and professional.I don't know all names but nursing staff were excellent as was the anaesthetist and assistant..The procedure went really well with plenty of tea ,toast and biscuits for sustenance afterwards. So thanks to everyone including registrar, consultant etc you have a great hospital.P,S, I won't say hope to be back soon!!Best Wishes
