"Thank you to the ambulance crew who took my son..."

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske)

Thank you to the ambulance crew (sorry in my panic I didn’t catch their names) who, despite being on their way home after a shift, stopped for my 12 year old son who had fallen over on the pavement and gashed his head.

They took him to A&E where a lovely nurse and an ER doctor stitched him, cleaned him up and took great care of him.

So much appreciated.

Thank you all!!!

Dear Linda

Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience in our Emergency Department (ED) when your son sadly had cause to use their services following a fall on the pavement. Please accept my apologies for the delay in responding to you on here, I work with the Patient and Family Experience Team at Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust and part of my role is to read all feedback we receive and ensure that it is passed to the relevant staff.

I will share your kind words and praise with the ED team as I know they will be delighted to hear that the lovely nurse and ER doctor took great care of him whilst he was stitched and cleaned up.

I hope that your son is now healing and recovering well from his injury.

With best wishes

Michaela Brewer, Patient Experience Coordinator
