About: University Hospital Of North Tees / Maternity care

(as the patient),

After being induced with my second baby I was taken care of by a very experienced midwife Janice. My first labour was long (18 hours) and traumatic, Janice helped make my second labour the most amazing experience! She was so professional, supportive and caring throughout, and I am still so happy she was on shift that day. Despite me asking for an epidural as I couldn’t go on any longer Janice assured me that this just meant baby was almost here and she would help me through it & she was right. Despite me having my placenta collected for encapsulation and requesting delayed cord clamping Janice did not bat an eye lid (to me) about my choices respecting me the whole way & I thank her for this.
