My Son hurt his knee during rugby training and was looked after in A&E, unfortunately he was sorer and less mobile after a week so I brought him back (following initial advice given).
Both my children have suffered a number of injuries as a result of the sport they play and we have found that when they have been examined the Dr assessing is often so focused on the examination that they don’t look up to observe the child. More often than not I have had to let them know that my child is in tears with pain, or trying to be brave and the Dr has not been aware.
Today we received outstanding care from a new Dr in A&E. They were very thorough in their approach but most importantly were caring and thoughtful. With each stage in the examination they spoke gently to my Son and was interested in his response. This meant a lot and put him at ease. Thank you
"Positive experience in A&E"
