I was admitted to c3 six days ago following the removal of a septic cyst that caused me blood poisoning as if that’s not enough to worry anyone I am due to have a baby in 10 days! I was barely mobile and unable to walk to the toilet without assistance plus the fact I was terrified. I was wheeled on at around 11. 30pm and from the minute I arrived I received the best treatment I could of wished for gaynor was like my mum away from home she is without a doubt the most caring person I’ve ever met I felt like I’d Known her all my life as well as the care she gave me which included constantly helping me to to the toilet she treated each and every other patient with the kind of care that makes people feel welcome and in safe hands. the ward managers were professional approachable and always available to reassure me it was not like a hospital stay it was like a “family” on that ward and I truely believe this helped my recovery I can’t thank them enough they turned the nightmare of my life into a positive experience that motivated me to recouperate and instead of this being a terrible memory it’s one I will look back on and smile.
"The kind of care that makes people feel welcome and safe"
