"This is what the NHS experience should be like!"

What I liked

The staff have treated me professionally and with respect and nothing was too much trouble. This is what the NHS experience should be! ( however the majority of my NHS experiences have been very different!).

What could be improved

There was only one exception when I asked if I could have an earlier follow up appt the receptionist was not very helpful and did not explain the situation to me. However one of the other reception staff overheard the conversation and explained to me that the consultant only held a clinic once a month – so I know understood why I couldn’t get an earlier appointment – as the appointment I was being offered me was his next clinic! – however the helpful staff member offered me the option of seeing another conslutant at an earlier date. A great intervention by that member of staff – however the first receptionist would do well to be more open and considerate in explaining situations!
