"Extremely slow service and exceptionally poor..."

About: Royal Free Hospital

I visited the Royal Free Hospital on Sunday night. My biggest issue was firstly the support staff in particular the receptionist who was extremely rude, not interested in doing her job. Her priorities were to chit chat with her colleagues completely ignoring any patients waiting to speak to her and when she did finally get around to speaking to the patients, she was very very rude and unprofessional.

Secondly I was made to wait for 3 hours before a doctor could see me. Patients who came a lot later were seen before I was seen. I would also like to point out that there weren’t a lot of patients at the urgent care unit that night so I fail to understand why I was made to wait for that long.

All in all an exceptionally poor experience.

Dear NC

Thank you for leaving a response, I am sorry your experience was poor. I am unable to comment in of order as detail based on your review, however, it is common to treat people out of order as we triage and treat accordingly. It is never acceptable for staff to be rude and I will raise this with a Consultant to take forward.

With Kind Regards

Richard
