My 7 year old daughter banged her head at home on a Sunday afternoon and got a nasty cut on her forehead.
We took her to the Minor Injures Unit. It was busy but we didn't have to wait too long and were home within the hour.
We were seen by a lovely nurse who was fantastic with my daughter - very friendly and chatty to put her at ease. She thoroughly examined her and then treated the cut. We were given lots of advice and information to take home, and she clearly explained any warning signs to look out for.
We feel very lucky to have a great minor injuries unit in St Albans. I know lots of residents would like a full A&E department but I think this unit does a great job. It is the second visit with my daughter here and have come away happy with the level of service and care both times.
"Great treatment at the Minor Injuries unit"
