I was sent to Horsham Minor Injuries Unit with a suspected torn calf muscle. I was seen within half an hour of arriving with no prior appointment, which I thought was very impressive.
I was examined very thoroughly, given detailed information about to treat it and self medicate and given a pair of crutches to be going on with. I was in the consulting room for nearly an hour as various other professionals were consulted by phone (as there was a question about deep vein thrombosis for a while) and I felt very well attended.
Overall, an excellent service for which I was very very grateful for, a real credit to the NHS when it is clearly under so much pressure. My heartfelt thanks to all involved.
