"St George’s Neurology Department"

I have been visiting the Neurology department of St Georges’s Hospital for 18 months in the lead up to my neurological operation. During this period the Hospital staff were professional, informative, supportive and responsive to my situation and questions.

The professional service I received continued with my experience during my pre. op.

My experience just before and immediately after my operation was also a positive one. From the moment I arrived the staff were attentive and reassuring. For example, the night before my operation the neuro anaesthetist came to visit me and explain the anaesthetic process in the lead up to the operation. On the morning of my operation my main surgeon came to see me, to re-explain the surgery process, answer any question and generally reassure me.

The staff who looked after me in the neuro intensive care unit and then in the McKissock ward were all attentive, supportive and professional. The nursing team members’ conduct and care gave me reassurance and made me feel positive about my recovery. The neurology surgical team and consultants came to visit me on a regular basis and always turned up at the time periods they indicted, despite their busy schedules.

The Neurology department at St George’s represents the best of the NHS’s best practice, care and professionalism.

I am very grateful to all of the staff involved in my surgery and shall always recommend others to visit St George’s Neurology department excellent diagnosis, surgery and care.
