What I liked

I have no problems with the treatment I had.

What could be improved

The car parking was terrible. It took us 45 mins to get a space!

We were told by an intimidating security guard that we were not allowed to 'wait' for someone to move a car, and to move off.

Because we were not local [had to travel 30 miles] we did set off early so we could find the hospital, but we nearly missed my appointment because of the lack of parking.

Hopefully I won't need to travel there again

Yes, we appreciate it can be tricky finding a place to park on the DRI site and we're sorry about that. The hospital has expanded and grown considerably since it was built many decades ago, with lots of new buildings, services and departments, which means we have limited space available for parking. We're also in a very built-up residential area with lots of houses around so we can't expand our site further. We do offer a free park-and-ride service from Car Park A at Doncaster Racecourse (on St Leger Way) that many patients and visitors find very convenient. There is ample space there and the free buses run to and from DRI every 20 minutes from early morning until around 10pm. We also have free shuttle services from Bassetlaw Hospital and Montagu Hospital n Mexborough, which some patients fund very convenient.
