"Weight loss and pain management"

About: New Victoria Hospital / Dietetics Southern General Hospital / Pain management

(as a service user),

I posted a story on the 9/3/12 about my battle to come off MST. I also said I was on co-proxamol and I was taking 4 to 5 times the daily amount because of this my weight went from 10 stone 2 ponds to 5 stone 3 pounds and I was having fits nd I had to give up driving for 2 years. They stopped the co-proxamol, put me on MST I put my weight back on. I was also aloud to drive again, as the fits stopped. But now it’s a fight to come off MST, as I am on 280mg of MST. So once again thank you to Dr Gavin McCallum of the Southern General Hospital and Dr Crocket of the New Victoria hospital in Glasgow. So thank you again to the pain team at both hospitals.

Many thanks for sharing your very kind comments about the service you experienced at the Southern General Hospital, and the new Victoria Hospital under the care of Drs McCallum and Crockett, and the pain teams at both Hospitals, and also for providing an update to an earlier posting.

This feedback is greatly appreciated by the staff, who will be delighted to read this very welcome posting.

We wish you every success in your latest challenge.

Paul
