What I liked

The A & E nurses, plus the Cover Staff of doctors/consulatnts who covered for the Rapid Assessment Unit on the weekends were superb. They were intuitive, patient, understanding, and sensitive to patient needs, but most of all patient stresses and fears. The cover nurses were especially brilliant. They ensured you were treated with respect and attended to all the time despite how busy it was.

What could be improved

The regular staff on Rapid Assessment could be slightly more communicative. and attentive. While I understand that this is a teaching hospital, it might also help to have less sullen student nurses , who seem annoyed, aloof and angry most of the time.
