(as the patient),

I would like to thank Ms Reid, Dr Ravury and all Doctors and Nurses who participated in my excellent care. Everyone was professional, friendly and understanding and my appointments were timely despite the known pressures within the NHS.  

My care included visits to the Mobile Breast screening unit in Kilmarnock, the Breast Care department in Ayrshire Central Hospital, the Day Surgery and the Outpatient Department both in Crosshouse Hospital. 

My only rather negative comment is that the very busy Out Patient area in Crosshouse Hospital is in need of serious updating. The staff do their best but the area is cramped and hot. As clinics unavoidably often run late this area can be somewhat uncomfortable.

Dear Glynis 54,

Thank you for taking the time to share this (on the whole) very heartening story. It will be with great pleasure that I will pass this to the teams who looked after you so well.

On the very valid observation about the clinic areas, I am so sorry you found them to be cramped and hot. I will pass this on to the clinic manager and the estates management for their consideration. If there is an update or planned work for the clinics, Ii will let you know on this forum.
