"Poor experience"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital / General medicine

(as a service user),

Worst hospital ever. A doctor from hospital called 999 and asked for ambulance to bring me to hospital.

But the reception had a negative attitude as well as telling me my appointment was cancelled. I then had to wait, then was told by triage I am in the wrong place. I was then sent back to reception to then be told that I need to re contact 111 - to then be told I need to see someone else who then said they can't help me.

Then I was sent back to triage where triage staff were very aggressive and said that because my temperature was fine I would be OK. But ignored the fact that I am possibly pregnant and passing blood in my urine alongside pain and difficulty going to the toilet! Not happy and not to mention the female toilets were filthy.

Absolutely disgusted. : (

We're so sorry to hear that you have had a bad experience at the QE. We pride ourselves in the training that we provide to our staff so we'd be keen to understand what's gone wrong in more detail and how we might be able to learn from this. If you'd be interested in telling us more about your experience please contact our PALS (Patient Advice and Liaison Service) on 0800 953 0667 or ghnt.pals.service@nhs.net.
