What I liked

I was nervous what to expect. From entering the consultant-led maternity wing very late at night for the birth of my 5 weeks premature daughter, the special care unit for my daughter to sort out any possible infections through to recovery of us both in the Gloucestery Ward we were impressed by the standard of care from the excepionally friendly, professional, hard working and dedicated staff. I was sorry for the staff who had 12 hours shifts but this did not affect their standards. Both me, my daughter and my husband are so, so grateful to them all. We were also impressed by the brand new facilities for the birth and special care of our daughter, also the high tech equipment we saw. Well done to all involved

What could be improved

Upgrade the Gloucester and Dacre Wards to the same standards as the Induction, Delivery and Special Care facilities
