I was sent to the day assessment unit at 30 weeks by my GP due to high BP. Was immediately seen by a lovely midwife and put on ctg. Turns out I was also experiencing reduced movements. I was in the unit for 10 hours whilst they ran numerous tests and CTGs. I had to promise to return the next day for a scan, and was then admitted via the day unit. Received another scan from foetal medicine. I saw 5 different consultants within a few hours across many disciplines.
My baby was delivered at 30+2 by emergency caesarean and taken to NICU. I remained on the post natal ward for 4 days.
The treatment I received that week was phenomenal, from all departments. My baby received excellent care in NICU. We have personally thanked every individual we encountered for their dedication and how well they looked after us. They saved both our lives and we are eternally grateful.
"Fabulous from beginning to end"
