I was referred by my GP for the fertility clinic.
After many weeks I received a letter with an appointment slot that I couldn't attend and no explanation about the visit: how long it takes, what it consists of and if I could choose the gender of the doctor.
I emailed back my questions as advised and asked to be called back. The expected response time declared is three days but after almost a week I had no response so I called back. After many attempts to speak with someone over the phone, I was given a very brief explanation of the visit and I was not given the opportunity to check an available slot on the phone neither to choose the gender of the doctor.I feel that I don't really have adequate support to investigate my fertility and help me having a baby. I feel that this system doesn't take into account working women and women with specific needs for such a sensitive matter.
"bad appointment system"
