"Third World Facilities and Environment"

About: Harrogate District Hospital

My husband was admitted following a heart attack.

He was moved five times during his stay.

Beds were old and scratched.

Lots of noise by staff, crashing about, talking loudly, this went on all through the night.

The ward was very hot, no air and smelled badly. He was practically touching the person next to him as the beds were so close.

Staff varied from unprofessional, loud, surly and disinterested to very good.

Very poor condition of facilities.

Hope to goodness we don’t have to use this hospital until it has a new management style and standards are raised.

I have taken photographs of the dirty floor.

Below standard.
