Thankful for my keyworker

"Thankful for my keyworker"

(as a service user),

'I have been a client of the Aylesbury drug and alcohol agency throughout its many alterations over the last 10 years.  I haven't been the most engaging of clients and the fact that I was referred to you again this year shows how seriously I have taken my sobriety.  I have not had any particularly bad experiences in the past although there have been experiences that have set me back.  I have also had positive things, positive tools that I have taken from these experiences.  

But still I was referred to you and here I am writing a letter of thanks and praise for my key worker Kim.  She has been a breath of fresh air in the old argument I have been having with myself. She is caring without coddling.  She is straight without being condescending and when I have deserved to be proud of myself she has helped me to see that that is alright. I am for the first time ever confident about the path I am taking and Kim has been a huge help.

I consider myself extremely self sufficient, I don't need no one but I am so thankful to have been allocated Kim as my key worker.  Thank you.'

Thank you for taking the time to give us your very endearing, honest and valuable feedback. From your feedback about your keyworker Kim its clear you have found this relationship valuable and it is helping motivate you in your future goals. That is one of the real aims of key work, to enhance peoples resilience to make their own changes and take control, which is sounds from your feedback you are doing. I will ensure Kim and the team hear your feedback, I hope she will feel as proud as I do for the support she is providing you. The assist Kim has been to you is mirrored to us all by having Kim as part of our team (we are very lucky to have her!)
