Kelso health centre
My son has had significant mental health problems for many years and although I have remained his advocate and kept in touch with all available services, it has been a long and difficult road. When he reached 18 it became apparent that the mental health services for young adults is very much oversubscribed and difficult to access. His health declined and unfortunately so did mine, we felt alone, abandoned and very much adrift.
However after a very bad patch I reengaged with my GP surgery and Dr McGuire took over my son's care and Dr Savory looked after me. They have both been absolute life savers, I cannot begin to express how much care, skill and time they gave us.
How can you ever really express or find a way to thank these dedicated professionals?? I simply don't know.
Dr Savory treated me with such compassion and really listened, she has a proper gift and I felt like I really mattered.. I'm not sure where my son would be without Dr McGuire, I dread to think, I know he too is truly grateful but still finds it a little difficult to express that (he is a young man!!)
Thank you to you both and indeed all your colleagues at Kelso health centre who always try to accommodate. I will be, however, forever in the debt of Drs Savory and McGuire
