"I couldn't have wished for a better experience."

Went in to get induced and started out on the f11 ward with the most wonderful midwife who made me feel completely at ease as I am one of the most shy people ever. I was extremely worried about my first internal exam to see how dilated I was (if at all) before I had the 24 hour pessary inserted and she soon made me realise it was nothing to worry about!

Then once she went home and they switched to the night staff I then had another wonderful midwife and at about 7am had a bath because I was in agony and the pessary came out and I lost my mucus plug and had a bloody show which was confirmed by the midwife and I was then at 3cm so off I went to the labour suite to be put on Pitocin.

The two midwives who took care of me there were remarkable, Laura and Emily were by far two of the most lovely people I've ever met and even though I was in pain the whole time I still kept smiling as they made me as comfortable as they could. I think it really makes a difference on who you go through these things with and they just made it all the more special because they always put me at ease and reassured me I could do it (as towards the end I was about to give up trying) there were also plenty of amazing doctors and midwives in between but I can't remember everyone's names as there was so many.

Overall, I recommend F11 and labour suite at west Suffolk hospital. Yes it's their job, but you can tell genuine people and they are all just brilliant. I couldn't have wished for a better experience.
