"Parkfield is a shining example of what the NHS..."

I am extremely grateful to the staff at Parkfield for the professional way they dealt with my case of Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT).

I had developed a painful leg over the Christmas period and after it didn't get better I telephoned the surgery at around mid-day one day between Christmas and New year.

Within the hour a doctor had phoned me back and and after I had given my symptoms they agreed I should come in. An emergency appointment was made immediately and I then saw a doctor for a consultation in person.

The doctor suspected DVT and immediately contacted Barnet hospital and arranged for me to skip accident and emergency.

Barnet were amazing too and within 24 hours of that first phone call I had been diagnosed, scanned and given blood thinners to ensure I was on the mend.

I have since had a follow up consultation with Parkfield and passed on my thanks in person as if they had not acted so promptly and professionally I could have been in serious trouble.
