Time for my annual medical review yesterday.
It started with a nice smile from the receptionist, then off to see the nurse, we had a good chat about gout, cholesterol ,weight, drinking habits, liver, kidneys and present tablets and general health, fortunately I seem to be getting a tad better
I had a query about my shaky hands, essential tremor?, and gout
I was able to be squeezed in with an appointment to see the doctor, what a lovely man
I was greeted with a handshake and a big smile. He put me at ease straight away explained what I thought I had, I might not have. Everything was conducted in a friendly caring manner.
Maybe part of seeing a doctor or nurse is the attitude and frame of mind you go into the appointment with.
May I also mention that the staff and receptionists are the mainstay of any business, they are all diamonds. Just to add, the secretary has helped me tremendously over the last 12 months chasing up results and hospital appointment
The doctor/partners should be proud to run an efficient surgery where almost everybody that walks through the front door wants a problem solving. Maybe not every time but last Tuesday was perfect for me
