Further to my earlier review (matter still outstanding), I called the surgery today to attempt to book a phone call with a GP.
After being kept on hold for some time, a receptionist answered.
I said I was a cancer patient, that I had received my copy of the letter to the head of practice from my consultant and that was causing me considerable concern and stress.
I said I needed to discuss its contents with a GP as soon as possible, as it concerned treatment.
The receptionist told me the letter had been scanned in, but that 'a doctor had not seen it'.
She said I would be contacted if the GP felt it necessary.
I said that what I was asking for, as a patient, was a call to discuss this letter.
She said there were no phone appointments for weeks ahead.
I queried this and she said the earliest would be 11 February.
I said this was simply unacceptable, but got no further.
"Further problems"
