The Radbourne unit saved my life, I cannot emphasize this enough. I know you have to be really mentally poorly to be here, and I was, and still am. The Hub side of the unit, where you attend as a day patient is outstanding, I was there for 2 months, the staff where beyond kind in the help they gave me. I am now a volunteer, I help show young doctors and nurses how to deal with “service users” like myself. I’m trying to give something back, or “pay it forward” as some people may say. The grounds are lovely, and kept to a high standard. Again, I know you have to be pretty mentally poorly to be here but again, IT SAVED MY LIFE. I just hope the trust keeps the money coming so the Radbourne can keep the high standards it has.
