Uncertain if I had sprained or fractured a toe and pain getting worse with loss of movement.
In the early hours of the morning I rang through to check if A & E were very busy and if I could come in for a check,
On arrival at about 4.30 am I was seen by a nurse within five minutes and advised I needed to see a Doctor.
Waited about an hour to see a Doctor who quickly diagnosed not a sprain, not a fracture but
GOUT!
Now 10.30 am at home and after start of steroid medication can put my weight on foot and beginning to move easily.
THANKYOU -every day of quality life is even more valuable to those with less life ahead of them!.
PS Driving my automatic wondered if A&E could be signposted more clearly and perhaps show area to park for a badly limping patient,
Did several circuits of the roundabout in front of the close main entrance.
