I attended a&e on Friday 18th January, the paramedics were so lovely and completley put me at ease they interacted and made me laugh the best paramedics I have come across. Whilst in a&e the nurses that were taking care of me, I came into contact with the first nurse only once throughout the whole time. There was no communication, the second nurse was friendly but very rude to my mother as she asked for a blanket and was ignored, this second nurse had put the room temperature up to 30c and I had woken up feeling hot and sick, I was not asked what I wanted.
Moving on, the doctors were so lovely, I did not feel judged they were so gentle and answered all my questions they were so easy to speak to. The 2nd doctor was the best doctor I have come across, so gentle and kind from the language used to the drs attitude everything was perfect.
I am disappointed in the nurses as I was attached to fluids but I could not move from the bed however no one asked me if I needed the bathroom after all that fluid and how I was going to get there as I was attached to the bed.
I had a constant nose bleed and no one knew as they did not communicate or check up on me regularly.
I hope these reviews bring about changes towards attitude and communication, overall I Am very very grateful to the doctors and NHS. Thank you.
