I called nhs 24 and been send to emergency. I am sitting in waiting room at royal infirmary hospital in emergency unit waiting to see somebody 4 hours(and counting)while heavy bleeding and cramping! its absolutely disgrace!

Dear Malejsza

Thank you for getting in touch via Care Opinion. I was very concerned to hear that you may be experiencing an extended waiting time in the Emergency Department with the symptoms you describe but despite enquiring locally we have been unable to confirm any delays in patients being assessed today.

I would advise that if you are still in a situation where you are worried about your symptoms or do not feel you are receiving the care you need please speak urgently with the clinical staff in that area who can contact the Lead Midwife if required.

Best wishes

Pam

Dear Malejsza

I am so sorry for your loss.

I appreciate that this is a very distressing time for you and would like to apologise for your experience in A&E and the additional distress that this caused.

I have shared your post with the General Manager responsible for the A&E Department and we would be grateful if you contact us with your personal details so that we can look into this further. It is important that we learn from our patient’s experiences. My email address is Nicole.McInally@ggc.scot.nhs.uk.

My thoughts are with you.

Kind Regards

Nicole

Dear Nicole I was trying to send a mail and screenshots of what happened to me after that day but unfortunately seems like email address you provided is incorrect and it bounces back.If I can have some other alternative email provided would be very much appreciated.

Dear Nicole-thank You so much for an alternative email address.I do receive your response. Now when we officially confirmed my identity and a fact that this sad situation indeed occurred-which is easy to prove by checking my time of arrival and my time of admission I just want to make something very clear. Although it was a very painful experience for me i didn't want to receive as a respond an email containing phone numbers of the support line. The main goal of this post was to alert you that things like this indeed DO HAPPEN and I hope it won't happen again to no one.I believe none of us wish to end up on the emergency ward in these circumstances and i believe no one should be treated that way. Regards.
