"GOODBYE AFTER 40+ YEARS CAN NOT STAND IT..."

About: St Austell Health Group

Well where do i start? I will try to write an honest opinion of this Healthcare group but find it very difficult to do so ,I am one of the many who thought its bound to get better after time but to no avail.

Healthcare professionals are supposed to be intelligent people but i find it very difficult to understand how they continually ignore the patient review scores on this page and carry on regardless(this is not a reference to one of the films but bears some resemblance)Perhaps they will say this patient has an axe to grind but surely not in so many cases.

I have not revealed the extent of poor treatment i have received because that is all hopefully in the past., there were times when i received superb caring treatment from patient centred professionals but they left and i am now hoping to find similar people again.

It is with a twinge of sadness that i am writing this review after being with St.Austell surgeries for 43 years, my .wife was cared for when pregnant as were my children when born and we were thankful for that .

I imagine when this email is received the normal attempts at response will be made, please do not bother, but if i can ask one last thing it would be that perhaps the GPs and senior staff read this and acknowledge that something needs to change quickly, or they can continue to keep their heads buried in the sand,

.PS I have been accepted at another practice and feel that a huge weight has been lifted from me.

Dear Anonymous,

Thank you for providing this feedback. I am sorry that you have not been happy with our service.

Feedback from patients is always taken seriously and always welcomed, but without specific details (i.e. names and dates) we cannot look at which aspects of our service you might be unhappy with.

Problems can be discussed informally with our Reception Team Leads, Operations Manager, Pharmacists, Nurses and Doctors. We also have a formal complaints process and can provide the contact details for NHS England if patients do not feel comfortable complaining directly to the practice. We have a very active Patient Participation Group that can be contacted.

Yours sincerely,

Anita McMillan, Business Support Manager
